Campaign highlights why we work #bettertogether in Warwickshire
An online campaign has been launched to highlight the ways in which organisations are working together in Warwickshire to improve people’s lives.
Called “Because we’re #bettertogether in Warwickshire”, the first phase of the campaign, which is being jointly promoted by Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council, highlights examples of where organisations have worked together to address the needs of various housing tenants in Warwick district.
Highlighted examples include:
- a man who, after being homeless, was given support to move to a suitable home and get the social care and mental wellbeing support that he needed
- two brothers, one with learning difficulties, who were given help to move to a new home after their mum passed away
- a single mum who was given advice and support that meant she could pay off her debts, get the right benefits and move into a better home for her and her children
- an older gentleman who was helped to move to a safer home, that was adapted for him, so he could continue to live in the same area that he had done for the past 20 years
You can view the campaign examples in full at www.bettertogetherwarwickshire.org/mystory.
The campaign has been developed as part of “Warwickshire Cares: Better Together”, Warwickshire’s Better Care Fund initiative, which sees organisations working more closely together to help people get the support they need, in the right place and at the right time.
The initiative supports stronger working relationships between Warwickshire County Council, the county’s five district and borough councils, three regional Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and major local health service providers.
Future campaign examples will highlight the ways different organisations are working together to meet various social, care and health needs and pressures.
